A morning I’d never thought of...

It was like the every other morning I have seen on the sets. Goregaon Aarey Colony is quite far away from my hostel it took me about an hour to reach late. The shoot had already begun. I ran towards the vanity vans removing the cameras out to put other bag in. I always try getting the best shot to start the day with. Every morning is an inspiration. I believe that every morning teaches oneself; the only matter is how the person learns from it. My cameras were active and I had collected a few photographs and some videos. A few shots were perfect and I was happy shooting it in an open field. Surprisingly this was one of the most beautiful and green places I had ever visited in Mumbai. Moving around the camera my lenses suddenly stopped on a man who was standing in the bushes. I didn’t find it crazy because I used see people very often watching the shoot from wherever they get place to see.
Clicked at Goregaon Aarey Colony fields. Mumbai.
After a break of half an hour when the next shot was ready I had collected a good number of photos. This was the only way I could keep myself busy and not think of the breakfast and lunch. The skimmers, cutters, flood lights all were replaced. The cameras rolled. This man was still there in the very same position wearing a jersey inside out and covering a towel around his waist. I smiled. He never reacted, his lips didn’t even move for a bit. He just took his eyes off. ‘Click’, I just couldn’t miss this movement. I just felt I should go and show him the photograph I took. I moved forward to him. He noticed me walking in his direction still the expressions on his face didn’t change. I stood beside him and said ‘Namastey’. He waited for a short while and joined his hands together. He bowed down a bit and touched the hands with forehead and mumbled something. I didn’t understand a word from him mouth. He finally looked at me and said, ‘Hum dinka pehla pranam Bhagvan ko karte hai.’ That single line made me turn back and see the most beautiful sunrise which breaks out from the hills at Goregaon Aarey Colony.
